Thomas and Ann Cox Hudson

Thomas L. Hudson '65

As Thomas L.'65 and Ann Cox '66 Hudson reflect on their educational experience at Heidelberg University, they realize while much of it was standard, on occasion there were moments of amazing discovery and particular learning. Throughout their lives, they encountered both great teachers and average ones, but unquestionably, it was the first-rate educators who gave them the gift of knowledge, wisdom and understanding, arousing a curiosity to learn more.

Recognizing the impact professors have to inspire and pass on their knowledge and skills to students, Tom and Ann are creating an endowment to be used by Heidelberg faculty for further growth and development in their respective subject areas. In an ever-changing world, it is necessary to keep abreast of new ideas and developments, current trends and innovations, and cutting-edge scholarship. In a great institution such as Heidelberg, the quality and strength of its faculty determine the educational outcome of its students. Tom and Ann believe their gift will offer faculty growth and development opportunities to strengthen their teaching. In turn, they will instill in their students the knowledge and skills needed to be leaders in their field and the world.

Like Tom and Ann, you, too, can remember Heidelberg University with a gift in your will or other estate plan. Learn about your giving options by contacting Doug Kellar at dkellar@heidelberg.edu or 419-448-2888.
